EduFutura’s background

The first partner agreement between the EduFutura educational organisations was signed in March 2016. The University of Jyväskylä, Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences and the Jyväskylä Educational Consortium agreed on a more extensive form of cooperation, the purpose of which was to create, based on certain determined spearhead areas, the most notable Finnish competence cluster of learning, research and development as well as experiments and application in Jyväskylä. This was named EduFutura Jyväskylä. EduFutura promotes the attractiveness of Jyväskylä among its staff, students and partners.

The network agreement of EduFutura educational cooperation was approved by EduFutura’s executive team on 8 June 2020. In this partner agreement, the EduFutura educational institutes agreed on further development of cross-institutional studies and network cooperation. The contract parties committed to providing their students with study courses and units based on curriculum cooperation, which allows the students to take courses at the different educational institutes.

The principles for identifying and recognising competence at EduFutura educational institutes were confirmed by the EduFutura executive team on 8 April 2020, and they came into force on 1 August 2020. EduFutura Jyväskylä is a registered trademark.
