Enrolment has ended. More information about next enrolment will be announced later. This course teaches the design of an event plan for cultural, sporting, or tourism purposes. Students work in teams to choose a current event and learn how it is planned by understanding the major planning components for a professional event. Students will investigate consumer needs, targeting, and positioning as related to the planning and operation of events. Students will examine the integrated marketing communications, sales, sponsorship, budgeting, risk management, staging, logistics, and performance measures needed to properly plan an event.
